Big news from the Wednesday league! During the 8:40 draw Team Rubbelke scored an 8 ender. The team, pictured above, consists of Bryan Rubbelke (skip), Hillary Haga (3rd), Rich Gross (2nd) and Dave Sroka (lead)
It wasn't until after 3rds rocks that 8 felt possible and with the pressure on, this is what the skip had to say about the final shot.
"My last shot was an open hit to a rock in the back 12 ft, which was sitting shot rock. I threw controlled takeout weight, pretty straightforward shot, but we were all aware it was for 8 so I was pretty nervous." The rock hit just off nose, and stuck around giving the Rubbelke Rink 8. Congrats to Team Rubbelke
