Our online club apparel store, the SPCC Broom Closet, is now available! Items for sale include jerseys, sweatshirts, jackets, and T-shirts, in both adult and youth sizes with new designs by Rick Loberg. Items can be picked up at the club (when we re-open) or at the vendor site, or shipped directly to your home for a small fee.
Click here to browse through the store. You will first need to create a free account. See these brochures for Mens, Womens, and Youth offerings.
All profits go directly to SPCC, so this is a great way to support your club through these tough times. Also, if you would like other items to be made available online, please send your ideas to club manager Scott Clasen or Broom Closet administrator Liz Owens.
A huge thanks go out to all named above, plus Rapit Printing for making this possible.

Did you miss the virtual all-member meeting on April 11th? A brief recap:
President's Trophy:
As you all know, we had no club championship this year as our season was cut short by Covid-19. But a hearty congratulations go out to the Dan Metcalf rink (Wed 4:30) -- they took the President's Trophy this season with a perfect 18-0 record. Dan's team includes Ken Judge at lead, Jeff Dubois at second, Tom Conroy at vice, and skip Daniel Metcalf.
New Board Members:
Congratulations and welcome to the newest members of the board:
- President Erik Ordway
- Vice-President Pete Stolt
- Julie Carlson
- Steve Jytyla
- Liz Owens
- Rich Fitzgerald (1-yr term)
And a big thank you to out-going members Mike Barrett, Ann Dondlinger, and John Miller!
Larry Piper Service Award
Perry Tholl has been a member of the Tuesday work crew almost since he began curling, and was instrumental in the installation of our new windows upstairs. He was also the person behind the "Curl with Dex" pins and the donation effort for kidney cancer research at SPCC. Thanks for all your dedication and hard work, Perry!
Honorary Lifetime Member
Linda Lokensgard began curling in St Paul in 1986. She was a very accomplished curler on ice, winning the state Mixed championship in 2000 and a silver medal at Nationals that year. But her greatest achievements were off the ice. In addition to being an amazing ambassador of the sport, Linda served at the Bonnies president from 1998-2000, and served as the first female President of the St Paul Curling Club from 2014-16. She also was the driving force behind the creation of the St Paul Curling Foundation, which exists to raise money for junior curling, curling education, and the historic preservation of curling in St Paul.
Sadly, Linda passed away on May 21 after a long health battle. She will be missed by everyone who ever came in contact with her. Her warm smile lit up the room and she was as gracious a curler as you'll ever meet. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her husband Jim, and the rest of Linda's family.
Available now:

"Dex" curling pins - both a remembrance of Jim “Dex” Dexter and a fundraiser for cancer research.
Available for a minimum donation of $10.00 or the amount of your choosing.
All proceeds go to the U of M Masonic Cancer Center for kidney cancer research.

Another 8-Ender at SPCC!
On Saturday, January 11, the Erik Ordway rink stole an 8-ender in a Big Spiel game at St Paul CC. Team members were John Zimmermann at lead, Joe Cloutier at second, Dale Webb at third and Erik Ordway at skip.
